Current Route Updates

As of January 1st, 2023, route updates will be sent to customer provided e-mails and/or text numbers.

10/9/22: In observation of Columbus Day, the Richland County Landfill will be closed Monday, October 10th, 2022.  Therefore, your route will run on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022.  Please pull your carts as normal, as we will be starting very early Tuesday morning so we can make up Monday. Thank you and have a great evening!

09/08/22:  The business office will be closed Friday, September 9th, 2022.  We will return to the office Monday, September 12th, 2022.  Thank you!

09/01/22: Route Alerts were sent out to the provided text numbers and e-mails 8/31/22 to the customers whose routes will be different next week. The Richland County landfill will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 5th, 2022.  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend with family and friends!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 07.18.22: Carts and Dumpsters, including residential and commercial shops, will NOT be collected if they have considerable amounts of unbagged garbage, lumber, metal or carcasses. We ask that you refer to the company policies that were sent out Nov. 2021 and May 2022.  This past week someone disposed of a skunk carcass, which caused us to pull off route, offload at the landfill and return to the yard to clean the truck. Because of policies not being followed, it causes us to run behind with route schedules. Regarding the route schedule, it remains every other week for all 9 routes. With the cost of diesel and truck maintenance we feel this is a better option, rather than raising our rates. If you have any questions, please calls us 406.776.2334.  Thank you, Troy and Vicky Prevost

07/08/22 Good Morning!!  Route Status for South of Savage and Sidney Circle to Lambert Customers We will be there today!  Route Status for Culbertson HWY Customers that haven't been collected yet; we will be there this evening into tomorrow. Be Safe and have a great weekend everyone!

07/02/22 Good Morning and Happy 4th of July!  Policy reminder: Oil field pigs and any other oil field related materials are NOT ALLOWED in the dumpsters/carts/trucks or the Richland County Landfill.  The landfill scans our loads for the radioactive materials that can be present on these items. This week, the last two loads had oil field pigs in them. Going forward, the landfill will not accept our load if detected, which means we have nowhere to off load which presents a whole different set of issues.  If ANY oil field material is found it will result in immediate termination and a $500.00 dollar fine to the account holder. If you have any questions, please contact us.  Also, this coming week there will be NO changes to the routes for Savage, Crane, Fox Creek, Sidney Circle, Lambert, Fairview and Culbertson.

06/26/22 Good Morning! Sidney Area Customers: on and off HWY 23 to Theil Subdivision, on and off Wibaux Highway, from the roundabout through to County Road 130, on and off County Road 350 from North Lincoln out to County Road 130, County Road 350 South from Rau school, Northwest Sidney and Squaw Gap Customers. All customers for this week with carts, pull them out by this afternoon Sunday, June 26th.  We will be running ahead of schedule, with this week’s routes being completed by Wednesday midmorning. Reminder for customers with more than one cart, please set them 4 feet apart.  Reminder that wood and metal are not allowed in the dumpsters/carts, as it causes too much damage to the inside of the trucks and is a safety risk with the packer blades. We are still in the process of putting updated stickers on all dumpsters and carts.  Thank you and have an amazing week!

5/31/22 Route Updates:  We will be start running in the early morning hours, with the goal of completing both Monday and Tuesday routes by the end of the day tomorrow. However, if you are a Tuesday customer and don’t get picked up, you will be picked up first thing Thursday morning. We will then be working into Wednesday’s route and Squaw Gap/ND route. Route for this week will be completed by close of business Saturday. Please be sure your carts are out before you call it a day today!  Thank you!!!!!

5/26/22 In observance of Memorial Day, the landfill will be closed Monday. This will put the Sidney routes and the Squaw Gap route for next week one day off; we ask that you still pull your carts as normal though.  June 1st, 2022, we will be operating as Great Plains Solid Waste with the new website, Facebook page, and email starting the 1st as well. Let us know if you did not receive the mailing regarding these updates.  A couple policy reminders that grass clippings need to be bagged and carcasses are not allowed in the carts or dumpsters. If you have any questions, please contact us at 406.776.2334. Wishing you all a safe and blessed Memorial Day Weekend with family and friends!

05/17/22 Good Morning! Theil Subdivision please leave your carts out and Tuesday Sidney Area Customers pull carts as normal.  An air hose blew last night, and we are working on locating which one it is, repairing it and getting back out on routes by this afternoon or sooner. We just wanted you to be aware of what is happening and reassure you that you will still be picked up but will be off schedule some.  To all customers we sent a mailing out yesterday regarding some policy reviews and that as of June 1st, 2022, we will officially be operating as Great Plains Solid Waste. Please note, you will start seeing us around putting updated stickers on all dumpsters and carts.  Thank you and have an amazing day!

05/05/22 Route Update week of May 9th:  Savage, Crane Area, Fox Creek Area to Sidney, and ND side of Fairview please pull your carts by Sunday afternoon as your routes will start Sunday evening around 8:00 pm and run through Monday. MT side of Fairview, Sidney Circle Area, Culbertson Hwy area, Lambert Hwy area to and in Lambert please pull your carts by Monday afternoon.  Your routes will run Tuesday into Wednesday morning.  All routes scheduled for this week are being completed early, so Chris can celebrate and honor his mom’s life at her wake in Washington. As we continue to work through the current trials with trucks, diesel costs and having to run an every other week pick-up schedule on the routes, we ask that you give us a call if you would like another cart during this time. We want to make sure everyone is taking care of to the best of our ability. We thank you and send to you an overwhelming amount of appreciation for your continued understanding and the supportive calls we receive to just say thank you. Your words of kindness and encouragement mean so very much to us. Please never hesitate to call us, we are here for you!  Have a great weekend!

4/15/22 7:30 am Good Morning!   We hope this finds you all safe and sending our thoughts and prayers to all the farmers, and ranchers.  Thank you to all those who are working to clears roads, highways, and helping each other out. We tried going out this morning, but there are still too many drifts, inaccessible roads and containers/carts that are inaccessible, as well.  If possible, please have your containers clear of snow and pull your carts out to where they are clear so the truck can safely get to the carts and containers. Our truck does not have 4 four-wheel drive and get stuck very easily.   We are hoping to get out first thing tomorrow morning, Saturday, to collect Sidney Circle, Lambert and Culbertson customers off the main highways.  All others, we will get to you as soon as we can safely access the property, into the weeks start and work until all is collected.   If your county road is open, please call us at 406.776.2334 to let us know.  Please be safe!!

03/10/22 ALL ROUTE UPDATE:

After much thought and careful consideration, starting March 14th, 2022 all routes will be on an every other week collection schedule.  Due to the current circumstances with the trucks and the rising cost of diesel, this is something we have to do. Savage, Crane, Fox Creek, Sidney Circle, Lambert, Fairview and Culbertson customers collection week of March 14th, 2022 and then every other week following.

Sidney Area and Squaw Gap customers collection week of March 21st, 2022 and then every other week following.  Please know that this is temporary, and this has not been an easy decision to make. Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions, please give us a call.

02/20/22 Miller's Garbage Feb. 21, 22 update:

Monday the landfill is closed. Continue to pull carts as normal, even though routes will continue to be altered.  We will continue running most hours of the day and night. We are actively truck looking, but no luck to date.  Please note, we may end up having to go every other week with most customers until a second truck is found, so we aren't running into troubles with the current truck and having the time for maintenance.  We will get to you and any extra garbage as well. If you have other containers for your overflow, please use them.  If access to dumpsters & carts have been slick, for safety we have not been collecting. For route questions call 406.690.2461 & for account questions call 406.776.2334. If we don't answer right away, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We are doing everything we can to get things moving smoothly again and we have an abundance of appreciation for each of you! Please be safe and never hesitate to reach out to us!  Thank you!

01/14/22 4:20 pm Route update:

We are still working on getting routes caught up and still running in the night as well.  The other truck is officially down so we will continue to share the one truck. With the landfill schedule and holiday thin coming Monday, we have no where to off load now until Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. We are trying to come up with a solution for the off loading. As well as working on having a second truck.  Again, we can't express how sorry we are for the delay in pick up and please know we feel your frustration.  if you need to please feel free to call 406.776.2334.

01/12/22 4:15 pm Route update:

Unfortunately, this afternoon we had a truck transmission act up and is down until we get parts in. Therefore, we will be sharing the one truck for the remaining routes. Please note, this means we will be running 24/7 to get the remaining routes completed starting Wednesday night through Friday.  Also, please note the Richland County Landfill will be closed Monday, January 17th, 22 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Therefore, routes may end up a day off.  Be safe out there!

01/02/22 6:18 pm

Things just aren't working in our favor.  We are hoping that we will still turn a corner this evening, but wanted you to be aware of what is happening.

01/02/22

By the days end, we should be ready to roll! Which means, we will be running late and early hours the next few days to get caught up!  We are going to get as much done as we can Sunday night through Tuesday night before the anticipated cold snap Wednesday.  Everyone with carts, please have your cart rolled out, if it is not already, by this evening. Extra garbage will be taken care of, please set it off to the side away from your cart or dumpster. Avoid putting it in front or leaned up against your cart or dumpster.  Please Be Safe out there!
